Guidelines for using web services

Web services hosted by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) should be used with following limitation:

• Users should limit their request to no more than 1 request per 5 second.

The web service will deny requests (via HTTP 500) when the limits have been exceeded.

This guideline is enforced on the following web services:

• FDSN web service
